What cohorts report after the work

Feedback below references specific modules from our PCI DSS Readiness Workshop and related labs. Voices are mixed on purpose—readiness is rarely a glowing brochure.

The payment flow archaeology module made our wallet partner edges visible for the first time. We had been treating a token vault as out of scope when logs still held enough to matter.

Interview rehearsal was uncomfortable in a useful way. I still talk too long when explaining access reviews, but at least I now point to the exact ticket queue instead of waving at a policy PDF.

Useful. The third-party responsibility matrix alone justified the seat. Scheduling across Seoul and Busan timezones for the private cohort was a bit messy.

We came in hoping for a shortcut to SAQ completion. That is not what this is. What we got was a clearer backlog—and a mild reservation: if your logging pipeline is unfinished, the workshop will highlight it relentlessly.

Case study: lending API team, six weeks out

A consumer lending fintech approached us with an assessor date already booked. Their CDE diagram listed three systems; our first lab surfaced nine touchpoints including a shared CI runner that could reach production secrets.

During the Control Walkthrough Seat cohort, they rebuilt the evidence index around owners in platform and risk. Assessor interviews still raised two follow-ups on key rotation, but the team retrieved samples within the session instead of promising “we’ll send later.”

They did not finish every remediation during the workshop—and we said so in the wrap-up. The lasting change was a weekly evidence refresh ritual tied to change freezes.

Case study: wallet partnership expansion

A payments startup adding a new wallet partner used Audit Cohort Private delivery. The private labs focused on responsibility matrices and SAQ scope mapping for outsourced tokenization.

Outcome: a signed control split document that both legal and engineering accepted, plus a rehearsed narrative for compensating monitoring while a partner SOC report was still in transit.
